Crafting a new age user-first, sports app & web ecosystem.

100MB started off as a destination for Sachin Tendulkar's fans to interact with their idol one-on-one. However, the truth was out there, and the fans needed more excitement & newer experiences to keep the sentiments around the app in high spirits. Our plan, 100MB 2.0
Create User First Content
We were on-boarded as part of the app refresh, responsible for re-imagining the entire ecosystem with users at the core. Now poised to become the world’s most engaging scorecard experience, I closely worked with the core team to develop the new app & web ecosystem from ground up. In order to identify the content pegs, I started off by carving user types & mapping their journeys throughout the app to ensure there is enough reasons for users to install the app & engage with it on a regular basis.

Identifying The Sweet Spot
The idea was to create one-of-a-kind experience in the app for the most apt module & basis our study, we concurred that "Scorekeeping" experiences are the most sought after attributes that the users seek in a sports app & we came up with a dynamic, first of its kind, animated Scorekeeper for 100MB. The idea was to create a novelty factor in the refreshed app by giving engaging experiences to the users in the form of Quizzes, Q&A with their favourite sports personality, & of course, the Scorekeeper.

Key Focus on DAUs & MAUs
Creating an app is half the battle, the other half is to keep the users active on a daily & monthly basis. The onus was on me to figure scenarios in the app that would keep the users glued onto the app during match days & non match days. I analyzed the ecosystem & recommended relevant earn/burn scenarios in the app to keep the users engaged. Not only engagement, but generating revenues was also of utmost importance. I was also a part of the core team that focussed on the app monetization techniques that generates steady revenues through the app making it a self-sustaining model in the long run.
